Dr. Susan Kraft
Dr. Kraft is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences and serves as a veterinary radiologist providing clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and as co-director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging service in the Animal Cancer Center. Her special clinical imaging interests are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cancer imaging. In addition to board certification in diagnostic imaging, she is also boarded in veterinary radiation oncology with interest in the application of imaging modalities for treatment planning as well as evaluation of radiation effects. Dr. Krafts research involves the use of MRI and MR spectroscopy for detecting and characterizing cancer and in evaluating its response to therapy. This particularly involves imaging of parameters important to treatment response such as tumor hypoxia, perfusion, and tumor metabolism. |
